My First 5K

This was so much fun.  So much fun training with my friends.  So much fun anticipating the race.  And so much fun running it with these awesome ladies! And I had the best cheering section.  My little family with homemade signs and my parents who came down from Logan.

So many questions

I've been thinking about my blog lately and thinking about why I blog? Who I blog for? etc. Am I in a rut or do I want to quit blogging? Like I said, so many questions! We have a family web site that I love, but it's only for certain sides of the family. Yet, blogger is a nice way to share videos. For some reason, this has been on my mind a lot lately. So I've decided to go private and see how things go that route. I know- private is a pain. It doesn't show up on your google reader!!
leave me your email address if you want an invite.

We have a winner!

Sorry this took forever. I had computer problems and had to send it away. Just got it back and now we are back in business! So the winner is....

Craig Gardner
Who is my father-in-law. This was more of a joint effort. My mother-in-law was the first one to guess and the only one who got it 100% right. However, she did not leave a comment, she emailed me her answer. So it was diapers x2 for 2 different kiddos, Pull- ups and wipes. I wasn't expecting any males to guess so my FIL is going to love his HOMEMADE gift! It will be waiting for you at your house, Craig!! :)
Jessica, I was so glad you commented! I don't have your email and I've tried to go to your blog and it won't let me. Can you send me an invite and your email? gagardner4@gmail.com.

Coupons

This may be me one day! Watch out!

OREM -- An Orem woman has been cited after going too far to get grocery store coupons.Police were called to approximately 300 West and 100 South in Orem after a woman was seen going through various mailboxes.A witness wrote down the woman's license plate and called police. Officers tracked it to a 28-year-old.At her home, police say they found she had a large stack of ads and coupons along with mail from various locations. The woman told police she was after the Albertsons double coupon ads. She was cited for theft.

Smith's is doubling coupons today and tomorrow. I went this morning and spent $21.97 and saved $58.94. Yippee! Very fun!

My Mama

This was at 8am. It had already been a long morning for this little guy. It's hard when you have a hard night sleeping and up at 7am. Taylor was feeling a little under the weather with a head cold for less than 24 hours. He just wanted his blue blanket and his Mama. I'm so glad he still fits in my lap!

I'm really liking Sid

I'm really not a TV person. Greg and TIVO have changed that a little through the years. But I'm still kinda a freak about what my kids watch and how long they watch TV. I'm not a big movie person either, so neither are my kids. Sitting for 2 hours doing nothing can be painful! But Sid is a breath of fresh air! He teaches my kids why people wear reading glasses vs. juice glasses, why a banana goes mushy, why their shoes shrink. For my son who asks all these kinds of questions 1456 times a day- it's great! Even Lauren sits through it as they use words like investigate, observing, experiment and explanation. Everyone needs a break from Dora!

Small Things about ME

When I woke up and read this from Jessica, I wasn't thrilled!

Today you'll get the chance to distill some of your words into some cool fill-in-the blank sentences, which we'll then translate into a gorgeous page with YOUR gorgeous face on it tomorrow. What a precious gift this is. It will take courage. Anytime we talk about who we really are, it takes a certain amount of bravery to step out there and really say it, and to turn the spotlight on yourself for a little while (it's really no accident that you've chosen a hobby that places you BEHIND the camera most of the time, is it? ;). But we hope you find at the end of this two-day celebration of YOU that it's been worth it.

But then she holds your hand all the way- and it becomes fun, inspiring and a REALLY good thing!
