Cute, Functional and Fun

This is what my recipie tin has been, so I had to make another tin. My SIL made me a binder to keep all my cards in by month. I loved it and used it for many years. However, I have a large family that keeps growing so the pockets became too small. So I decided to make a tin version. Every Jan. I sit down and make all my birthday cards for the year. And this is where I get to store them! fun uh!

Each month has it's own section seperated by dividers like you see. Behind each divider is a month sheet that has the dates for names of people who have birthdays in that month. Even this is a little snug and we're already 3 months into the year. But it works great!

I've always wanted to do something like this, so I will actually send out birthday cards on time! Your little box is so awesome! Did you buy the box and cards separated, or were the cards with the box?..they fit so perfectly! Let me guess, you made the cards...right?? :)

I bought the tin at Roberts. The dividers were made from chipboard I had and I made them fit in the tin. The "calendar" was done on the computer and I printed them on cardstock. Then I made the birthday cards to go in the tin.
