Summer Bingo

I saw this idea last year and wanted to do it. However, I thought Taylor and Lauren were too young and I had just had a baby. So this summer we are ready to go. Stacy explains the program really well on her site, but the idea is to have different activities for your kids to do during the week. Here are some rules.
  1. you get a new BINGO card each Sunday
  2. you can use your FREE sticker on any square you want
  3. you earn one ticket for every bingo (5 squares in a row)
  4. tickets are redeemable for things like Popsicles and extra Wii time
  5. a BLACKOUT by Saturday night is rewarded with an extra $5.00 toward school shopping
I decided to use pictures for my kids. I also didn't opt for the Bingo or ticket option. Those will be fun to implement another summer. This summer we are just doing the basics. 5 squares. 5 activities deserves a little something fun. (new sand toys, a new book, etc.) So my kids will just Velcro their activity on a square. I have 4 different categories that are color coded for them to choose from, then a free choice. The areas are physical (small and gross motor ), learn, play and Activity with Mom.

Facebook has it's own Summer Bingo Page with lots of great ideas. Lots of people are sharing their Bingo cards, etc. for you to download. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#%21/group.php?gid=95260588875&v=app_2373072738&ref=ts. They also have some great activity ideas based on age, summer holidays and vacations.

So are you going to do it? Let me know if you do- I would love to hear how you do it and what activities you choose. (FYI- I've decided not to go private.)
