Happy June 1

Always love my new desktop from Shabby Miss Jenn.  You can get one too here.  And when my computer goes to sleep it's just a slideshow of all my favorite family pictures.  Lindsey especially loves to sit in the office chair or on the couch and yell out all the names of everyone.  It's her own little scrapbook since she has none!

It's the Teacher in Me

that is use to changing the bulletin boards and changing things out for each month. Maybe that's why I love my new desktop each month!

Memories

(Desktop by Shabby Princess)
We have had so much fun this holiday season with the kids. Especially Taylor. He remembers last Christmas and knows what to anticipate. He loves reading all the Christmas books and especially about baby Jesus. Lauren's not sure why she's excited. But if Taylor is, she's joining him! She just likes all the Christmas lights and fun things other families put in their yard! I wonder what memories we are building for her to remember next year! They are so fun!

Did you Hear?

Here is a little from Jessica's blog...

So are you ready to gather some stories, so you can have them in hand?
In class, we will learn:
Techniques for capturing memories from our own lives and from others
Dozens of prompts for stories you might have forgotten
A cool system for capturing the stories happening in your life right now, AND for listing the stories you have yet to tell
Printable goodies that will make your “capture” system work, AND keep it cute! (you know we gotta keep it cute - there’s nothing in life that’s not better with a great design)
“Next steps” video tutorials for turning your stories into pages
Technologies you can use to help you gather your stories together with photos, video, your blog, or any other media you have that gives a peek into your life And we will make a REALLY CUTE project! (You’ll find out the supply list when you register). You are not required to have Photoshop to complete the project.
Oh yeah, by the way, this class is COMPLETELY FREE.
I'm very excited!!

A Normal Day

I think it's important to record our daily lives just as much as the big events. Jessica's class had us do just that in today's class!

Lists

I love scrapbooking, especially now that I am learning Digital Scrapbooking. But I hate the writing part of it. I write the who, what, when, why journaling and I'm on to the next. So I'm taking yet another class from Jessica Sprague and her co-teacher, Liv. Jessica is amazing- she's a Mom- to a preschooler and toddler, she's LDS, she's the best when it comes to teaching Digital Scrapbooking. If you are even thinking about getting into DS- check her out. Her first class is now self-paced! And Liv is part of the whole experience as well because she is your constant cheerleader!
Our first assignment was mostly journaling in a list! I'm a huge list person- why didn't I think of this? It's so fun!
