Disneyland Day 1

For our first time to Disnelyland, I knew we would need a visual of when we were going. So this little countdown was perfect and very fun. Each night the kids took turns putting up the Mickey Mouse ears. It just added to the excitement. Many afternoons before we also watched lots of videos on youtube of all the rides.
I also made the kids their own autograph books.  This is a picture of Taylor's front cover and a picture of Lauren's book with Cinderella's page showing.  They were so fun to make and the kids loved them.  Many of the characters loved them as well.
Thanks to my good friend, Sarah, we got hooked up at the Paradise Pier hotel with a park view from our window.  While Greg and I got settled the kids looked out the window and kept finding rides on our map.  Taylor had California Adventures mapped out in his head before we even got there!
Do they look ready or what? Leaving our hotel at 6:30am for our magic morning pass was not a problem at all.  I don't think any of us slept and Taylor was up at 5am for the day!  But it toally paid off.  We did all of Fantasyland- and some of the rides 2-3 times, plus Nemo all before our 9:40am breakfast with Chip and Dale.

The carousel was a favorite for both kids.

We got to have breakfast with my friend Sarah and then she spent the day with us at the park.We got to have our own personal guide.  So fun!

Taylor got picked to be in the Jedi Training. He fought Darth Maul.  He was in heaven.  It was so exciting!

Lauren and Rapunzel.  Lauren was very envious of her LONG hair.

Lauren with Maleficent.  She is the wicked fairy in Sleeping Beauty.  She was kinda rude in a funny way.  She was suppose to be but Lauren didn't get that part.  She wasn't so sure of Maleficent, especially when she was making fun of her Tinkerbell pins. A few more minutes, I think Lauren would have started crying.
These 2 got along great.  One on one with a parent and at Disneyland- does it get any better than that?

Good thing Greg will go on any ride with the kids.  This stationary cup was good enough for me.  The kids also got pictures with Geppetto, Queen of Hearts and Lilo.

Disney Land looks like it was SO FUN! I love the idea of autograph books. You are so amazing. How do you do all that you do? Maybe just by being your neighbor some of your amazingness will rub off on me!!! It's been fun catching up on your blog. Lindsey is so darling and so big now, loving Dora. So cute!

Your pictures are great. The look on their faces match their excitement and wonder. Just exactly what I think Walt Disney had in mind when he built the place. It was especially cool for me to get to hear their first hand narratives as soon as they got back from that magical land. Priceless!
